On April 5, 2017, MCBB secured an injunction on behalf of its client, the Plaintiff in Complete Merchant Solutions, LLC v. LLR, Inc. d/b/a LuLaRoe (Utah 4th Dist.). The case arose from the Defendant’s alleged breach of an exclusive services contract, in which it agreed to use the Plaintiff’s credit processing services exclusively for a multi-year period. When the Plaintiff learned of the Defendant’s plans to replace the Plaintiff with a different credit processing provider, and was unable to negotiate a resolution, it brought suit and asked the Court to enjoin the Defendant from further breaches of the parties’ exclusivity contract. Following extensive litigation and a lengthy evidentiary hearing, the Court entered the injunction as requested by the Defendant.
