Brett C. Gilmore is a partner at Manning Curtis Bradshaw & Bednar. Brett provides strategic, effective, and results-oriented representation in a wide range of demanding and complex litigation scenarios. His practice covers many areas of commercial litigation, including business and contract disputes, public records requests, non-competes and other restrictive covenants, professional negligence defense, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation, construction litigation, and appeals. He excels in high-stakes situations that require disciplined strategy, clear judgment, and decisive action and has won cases in state and federal trial courts and courts of appeal throughout the country. Brett prides himself on strategic and creative thinking, and clients value his no-nonsense approach to litigation.

Before returning to his native Utah and joining Manning Curtis Bradshaw & Bednar, Brett practiced for many years at prestigious regional and international firms in Phoenix, Arizona. Brett has represented a range of clients throughout his career, from sole proprietorships and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, international law firms, large universities, government officials, and other high-profile individuals, and his litigation successes include favorable decisions in cases involving damages claims exceeding $200 million.

Brett attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he graduated second in his class, received awards for excellence in legal writing and oral advocacy, and served as Senior Managing Editor of Arizona Law Review. In recognition of his outstanding academic achievements, Brett was named a distinguished scholar—the James E. Rogers College of Law’s highest honor. After law school, Brett clerked for Vice Chief Justice A. John Pelander of the Arizona Supreme Court.
